Outpatient Methadone
One Treatment at a Time. Medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder, with counseling built in and dosing hours that fit around a working day.
Chapter 01
Treatment that happens here, not to you
Living in recovery takes time, patience, and the support and tools you need to live a healthy life. Methadone can help you break out of the cycle of addiction, find your footing, and start moving forward with your life.
East Texas Clinic provides treatment in an outpatient setting. You receive medication at the clinic and attend counseling sessions on an appointment-based schedule. Nobody stays overnight here, and nobody is admitted.

The daily rhythm, and how it changes
Patients must come in for treatment every day at the beginning of their treatment to become stabilized on a medication dose and decrease the risk of relapse. That's the part most people dread before they start.
Take home medication may be earned as you follow the policies and procedures of the program and meet other regulatory criteria, such as time in treatment and favorable drug screens. Daily visits are the beginning, not the whole program.
Chapter 03
Counseling is not optional, and that's by design
Counseling is required while you're receiving treatment at East Texas Clinic. It's both an integral part of any comprehensive treatment plan and a state regulatory requirement for those seeking medication-assisted treatment.
The clinic's counseling staff works to help patients get at the underlying causes of addiction while learning new tools and coping mechanisms for long-term recovery. Counseling is individualized based on your needs and on state regulations and requirements.
Safety, dosage, and staying yourself
The medication is highly monitored by the clinic's medical staff to make sure you're receiving a safe dosage. Used under medical supervision as part of a treatment program, methadone can be taken safely without damaging side effects.
At the correct dose, there's no impairment to mental function or your ability to perform daily activities. East Texas Clinic is accredited by Joint Commission, which gives you assurance that you'll receive quality treatment in a safe facility.
