About the clinic

East Texas Clinic

East Texas Clinic is a Joint Commission accredited outpatient program at 201 Pine Tree Road in Longview, treating opioid addiction with medication and counseling on a schedule built around ordinary working life.

What outpatient treatment means here

East Texas Clinic provides treatment in an outpatient setting. Patients receive medication at the clinic and attend counseling sessions on an appointment-based schedule.

The medication side of that is monitored closely. It’s highly monitored by medical staff to make sure each patient is receiving a safe dosage, and when it’s used under medical supervision as part of a treatment program, methadone and buprenorphine can be taken safely without damaging side effects. At the correct dose, there’s no impairment to mental function or to a patient’s ability to perform daily activities.

Dosing runs early: Monday through Friday from 6:00 to 10:30 AM, and Saturday from 7:00 to 9:30 AM. The clinic is closed Sunday. Outside those hours, a 24/7 answering service is there to pick up.

Counseling is part of treatment

Counseling is required while receiving treatment at East Texas Clinic. It’s both part of the treatment plan itself and a state regulatory requirement for anyone in medication-assisted treatment. Counseling here is individualized to each patient, based on their own needs and on what state regulations require, not one fixed program everyone goes through the same way.

Accreditation and privacy

East Texas Clinic is accredited by Joint Commission, which the clinic states is an assurance that patients receive quality treatment in a safe facility. It’s the clinic’s own stated credential, and the one this page relies on.

Patient privacy is regulated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, known as HIPAA. MedMark adheres to all HIPAA regulations. Alcohol treatment records are also governed by 42 CFR Part 2.

Care during pregnancy

East Texas Clinic provides coordinated care for expectant mothers, working with the patient’s own obstetrician or other care provider so that both the mother’s health and the baby’s health are considered in the treatment plan.

Payment

East Texas Clinic accepts cash or money orders. Call the clinic for more information.
